The Amendoeira Sports Club offers a full range of sports and fitness facilities, all finished to the highest specification to meet professional standards and set in the private and secure environment of the beautiful Amendoeira Resort. Sports packages are tailor made by the experienced team to combine training schedules with luxury accommodation, special dietary menus, friendly matches and much more.
Sport Facilities
- FIFA full size natural grass pitch of 87m x 138m, immaculately maintained all year round, with additional moveable goals provided. Suitable for professional team training only.
- Two Astroturf five-a-side football pitches made to FIFA standards of 26m x 48m.
- Six Savannah tennis courts (two floodlit).
- A standard full size beach football pitch which can provide three beach volleyball courts.
- Two bowling green’s – one crown green and one flat green.
- A gymnasium fitted with a comprehensive range of Technogym equipment including cardiovascular training and weight resistance machines. A selection of free weights and adjustable benches can be arranged in the pitch side marquee for professional team training.
- Spacious male and female changing rooms with good locker space and showers.
- The Sports Bar, situated within the Amendoeira Resort main building, has three 42” plasma TVs and a pool table. The area can be used for meals and meetings, ideal for professional teams. The shop is next to reception and offers a selection of golf and football merchandise as well as tennis equipment for hire.
Golf & Academy
There are two championship golf courses at the Amendoeira Resort: the Christy O’Connor Jnr. course and the Faldo Course, both already gained worldwide recognition. The floodlit, 9 holes, Par 3 Resort Academy course is ideally suited to beginners and those who wish to sharpen their game, and the Amendoeira Academy & Callaway Fitting Suite provides professional golf tuition programs, a driving range, putting greens and a long and short game practice area.
